The enrollment process is kicked off by starting an application, which you can do by clicking “Join Now” on our home page (www.virtahealth.com) or by clicking "Get Started" on the landing page from your employer or healthcare plan.
Once you create an account, you will be able to log in and out with your password to work on your application and see your next steps throughout the process. You will verify your account through an SMS (text message) code which will allow you to start the application process. The steps are:
- First you will be filling in some health information to determine your medical eligibility
- Once that is complete, you will receive a text with a link to download the Virta App to continue your application.
- You will then have the option to schedule an enrollment consultation to talk with one of our experienced Enrollment Advisors. This will give you the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about what Virta can do for you and how it works
- There will tasks in the Virta App to "Meet the Virta App", "Confirm insurance coverage" and "Go to your Health Profile".
5. We ask for lab work from within the last year to check your medical readiness for treatment. If you don’t have recent labs, we will help you get them!
6. You will then complete a more comprehensive medical history and have a call with one of our Virta Providers who use this time to confirm and clarify your medical history and to answer general questions about Virta and therapeutic carbohydrate restriction. This is a video call that lasts around 20 minutes. You can schedule this call in the app:
7. After your Provider gives their approval, you will be able to start your program, where you will meet your Health Coach and start working towards taking charge of your metabolic health!
8. Within the Virta App, you will have the option to chat with your Enrollment Advisor at anytime throughout the process using the Messaging tab seen here:
You can stop and start this process as you need- your progress will be saved and you can pick up where you left off, just by logging back in using the same email and password that you set up initially.
Throughout your application you will receive a few texts and emails. Make sure to always check your spam folder in your email.
