Are you suspecting that your meter is giving you inaccurate readings?
This can be caused by the meter having too many recorded readings in its memory. Follow the below steps to reset your memory history:
- Open the Virta App and log into your account
- Click on the menu in the top corner of the Virta App
- Click on Devices and Settings
- Click link "Delete Device Data"
And follow the on screen prompts
Please note: This will not remove any previously recorded readings that have been synced or manually added to your Virta App.
Also, please ensure the proper testing protocol for accuracy:
Make sure your Virta App is fully closed when doing your testing. We have been seeing an increasing trend that when members test and have their app open at the same time, the meter is attempting to connect via bluetooth. This is causing a delay and, in turn, contaminating the blood sample to give false readings.
Below is the best-practice testing protocol:
-
Make sure your app is closed
-
Turn on your meter and take your reading(s)
-
Turn your meter off
-
Open your app
-
Turn your meter on
-
Your app will then find your readings
If that does not fix the issue, perform a control solution test on your glucose and ketone strips. You can view how to do that here: How and When to Use Control Solution
